Steven Novotny, CFP® started Rosemont Financial Group in 2011 with 5 colleagues who had the common goal of providing individuals, families, and businesses a complete financial planning picture while helping clients pursue their financial goals.
After 10 years of working in the financial industry with a focus on accounting, Steve decided to switch his emphasis to financial planning based on a personal family experience that has had a lasting impact on him through today. After a close family member lost their job after countless years of middle class success, Steve witnessed firsthand how a lack of financial planning and guidance could negatively impact ones entire work career and all that they had saved. Steve decided that he needed his career path to be based around helping people by using his comprehensive financial knowledge and experience. In 2000 he began making sure that people would not face the same outcome as his relative by becoming a financial planner.
With over 22 years of financial experience, Steve has been helping individuals and businesses by listening to their goals, developing a plan of action, implementing the plan, and monitoring it over the client’s lifetime. While Steve enjoys all aspects of financial planning, his main focus is retirement planning using sophisticated asset management techniques, risk management through various insurance products, wealth transfers to future generations, and gifting strategies.
Maintaining a solid professional foundation over the years has been very important to Steve. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, a member of the Financial Planning Association, and a member of the Million Dollar Round Table**. Steve also holds his Series 7, Series 66, Series 24, through LPL Financial and his New York State Life and Health insurance licenses.
