Judith K. Odell
Judith K. Odell is a Certified Public Accountant who brings a unique perspective to her business at Rosemont Financial Group. As a CPA and tax accountant since 1981, she has years of tax experience important to clients’ planning. Whether meeting with clients to discuss their financial goals, their retirement plans, or their estate plans, Judy is able to address the tax aspects of all possible actions and scenarios. It is important to tailor each financial plan to the goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon of each individual client. It is also important to analyze and understand the tax aspects of all choices available to each client, and that is Judy’s specialty.
Judy has had her own tax accounting business since 1982, serving approximately 600 individuals, small businesses, and not for profits. She prepares her clients’ annual income tax returns, oversees the regular monthly accounting, payroll, and sales tax issues for the businesses, and engages in tax planning strategies for all clients.
Judy began her financial planning career with AXA Advisors in 2002. She holds FINRA Series 7, Series 66, life and health licenses. She is also approved to sell Long Term Care Insurance.
Judy was a tenured faculty member of Accounting at the Sage Colleges from 1982 – 1995 and has years of experience with the complexities of tax deferred annuities and in particular TIAA CREF. She also served as Director of Finance at the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce from 1995-1997, giving her hands-on not for profit and business financial experience and compliance.
When not running her tax and financial planning business, Judy enjoys traveling, exercising, doing volunteer work, and spending time with her husband, two sons and two daughters in law.
