With over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, George Smith brings a deep well of knowledge, compassion, and dedication to his clients. He began his career in 1978 with MetLife at the age of 22, quickly advancing to Sales Manager in 1981 and later becoming Branch Manager of the Clifton Park MetLife agency in 1991, a position he held until the agency merged with the Albany MetLife branch in 2000.
George specializes in working with individuals and families to help them build stable, secure financial futures. Whether guiding clients through retirement planning, insurance solutions, or investment strategies, George’s approach is rooted in treating others the way he would want to be treated—with honesty, respect, and patience.
He believes the foundation of every successful advisor-client relationship is mutual trust. Known for his responsive and non-pushy style, George ensures his clients feel confident and supported at every step of the planning process. His “one-stop” service model means clients can rely on him for all their insurance and financial needs, including life, health, auto, home, and investments.
George holds licenses in life and health insurance, property and casualty insurance, and mutual funds and investments. His leadership experience extends beyond finance—he proudly served as both President and a long-time Board Member of the Menands School Board of Education and is a Life Member, Past Chief, and Past President of the Menands Fire Company.
Outside of work, George enjoys boating, motorcycle trips, competitive pistol target shooting, and, most of all, spending time with his wife Geri, their three grown children, and ten grandchildren.
Since joining Rosemont Financial Group, George has found a strong, client-focused team that shares his commitment to service and integrity. He’s excited to continue offering tailored solutions that help clients achieve lasting financial well-being.
